Halftime | The night of the kidnapping, a David P continuation

The night of the kidnapping, a David P continuation Beamer labs has discovered a good old fashioned teammate switcheroo. As discovered in a previous post by @DakPrescott Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum have been switched to Brooklyn and KD and Kyrie have been kidnapped and placed on the Pelicans. How has this happened though? Who could’ve pulled off this grand heist?

This is the night of the kidnapping

5:04 PM: KD and Kyrie were going about their business as usual, walking down the street flipping off city dwellers and and getting a bite to eat. Meanwhile, in the Pelican’s practice facility was a team meeting as they were approaching the Lakers in the standings. They knew that they had a chance to make the play-in but they weren’t good enough to make it out of the first round. They had to devise a scheme. What would this scheme be?

5:29 PM: The Pelicans realize that they need top caliber talent on their team and they needed to find a way to get new stars on their team. They needed to pull of a player swap. They did not have anybody who could pull off this kind of kidnapping so they had to recruit somebody who had real skills.

Mexico
6:23 PM: The Pelican’s scouting department has arrived in a small town in Mexico. The person who they were recruiting was visiting his family on vacation. They had tracked him down to that exact location. As the scouting department arrived at the house of that man, they knocked on the door and a short man with braids answers. It was none other than the infamous basketball thief, Alvarado. They offered him a deal to play on their team if he can steal Kevin and Kyrie. The thought of money enticed him and he accepted. They fly back to the Pelican’s training facility to introduce him to the team.

8:02 PM: He gets introduced to the team and they put together their scheme. Alvarado was willing to go but he needed backup. He needed a team. He recruited Herb Jones incase his lanky reach would be of use and Zion Williamson for brute force. They hop on a plane and head to Brooklyn.

Brooklyn
9:56 PM: They arrive in Brooklyn. They have tracked their location to a flat earth convention in a club located in the heart of Brooklyn. They enter the club pretending to support the flat earth ways. They have disguises on. They sat through most of the convention and resisted the urge to tease them. They knew that they had to create a distraction. They yell “the earth is round” and the flat earth members proceed to get in a brawl. The team quickly finds KD and Kyrie and stuffs them into a bag and and go home while they send Ingram and McCollum to Brooklyn. That was the night of the kidnapping.
